Fell in love with their fried chicken so I came back for their other dishes. I had their fried chicken with their fish sauce togo. This time my friend and I ordered the sumusas and Honey Fried Chicken to start. The sumusas were delicious! It wasn't like the thick fried dough. Instead it was egg roll skins. They're fairly big and stuffed! The fried chickens were a good size, crispy, and juicy. The honey was well coated and not too sticky. I got the Burmese chicken biryani. There seems to be a strong bold tamarind flavor. I expected the chicken to be shredded in it but it was a quarter of a chicken. The cilantro was a great garnish. My friend got the Nan Gyi Thok. It had a good taste that was kind of new to me.

Location: Davis Commons where Mikuni's use to be Food/Service: I cant say enough good about the service my friend Bernadette n I received from Isabella during lunch today. I wasn't sure what to order but was set on curry. Asked her for a recommendation...she was spot on. My friend already knew what she wanted...tea leaf salad w tofu. It was very tasty. Isabella recommended the Chef Special Dry Chicken curry. It was DELICIOUS and exactly what is looking for I will definitely come back and give other menu items a try

We came here after picking up our beautiful niece at UC Davis for a visit. I'm so glad there's a delicious Burmese restaurant near campus. The service was fantastic as well. We ordered the Nan Gyi Thok, Samusas (sorry, no photos), eggplant, garlic noodles, chicken potato curry, Burmese fried rice, tea leaf salad, and Burmese iced teas. The standout dishes were the samusas, Nan Gyi Thok, Burmese fried rice, and the Burmese iced tea! I'm definitely going to order those again. My husband and bro-in-law have Burmese roots, and they say this place is authentic. I agree and will be back for my favorites!

It was a pretty late night at Davis. My family and I were hungry. I personally wanted to find a place to eat that was good and that had parking. I really hate having to search for street parking when I'm hungry haha. Looked at our trusty Yelp app, and found My Burma. We never had Burmese food, so it was a good place to try out. Upon entering we were greeted by friendly staff. The place was pretty packed, but we were seated right away. The place is clean and well lit. Considering we never had Burmese food, we were eager to try a bunch of things haha. You can look through my pictures for the food that we got. We ordered: Samusas; Platha & Vegetable Curry Dip; Burmese Pineapple Fried Rice; Mint Chicken; Chef Special Dry Curry Chicken; Nan Gyi Thok All dishes were very good, very flavorful! The one dish that did stand out was the Chef Special Dry Curry Chicken. I usually don't like Okra, but something about the sauce made Okra taste good haha. The Nan Gyi Thok was noodle dish that the server mixes in front of you. I wish I got the before it was mixed up picture, but I was too busy watching the noodles get mixed in haha. For some reason my kids didn't like it. But that just meant more for the wife and me! It was very good. Not like any other Asian type of noodles I've had before. When you're in Davis and want a place to eat with parking, try out My Burma! Oh I forgot, we also got Burmese Ice Milk Tea and Burmese Hot Milk Tea. Also very tasty!

Date: Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 Party of: 3 Meal: Dinner Takeout Order Placed: via Try Cake - online platform thru their website Time Ordered: a little before 7:30pm Time Picked Up: about 20 mins later *Platha & Coconut Chicken Curry Dip ($12.95) *Tea Leaf Salad ($16.95): Lettuce, No Peanut *Burmese Beef Curry with Potatoes ($20.50) *Burmese Curry Pork with Potatoes (18.95): added note - Can I get this extra spicy if possible? *Additional Instructions: Can I get some hot sauce on the side please? I adore a good tea leaf salad. The hubby and I were stopping by this plaza to grab boba. I saw My Burma and suggested we check them out for dinner. I asked the bro in law if he wanted anything and placed the order online while we were driving. It was ready as promised when we got there. So the good first. I liked the two things I ordered. The tea leaf salad and the platha and curry. The salad was crunchy and had good flavor. Tho I wished they put jalapeños in it. Luckily, I had some at home. The chicken curry was tasty. The platha a little oiler than I prefer, but still chewy and good for dipping. The hubs got the pork curry which ended up being super salty. He had to use a lot of rice to mellow it out. The bro in law said his beef curry didn't taste like much. I had a couple bites and I thought it was fine. But I added jalapeños, garlic, and like three kinds of hot sauce to it. Speaking of condiments, they didn't give us any hot sauce on the side. And the beef curry wasn't spicy. I did indicated if possible, so maybe it wasn't possible. But I found it odd they ignored my hot sauce request. Surely they must have some kind of hot sauce they can give you on the side. If a tea leaf salad craving hits, I'd recommend this spot. But the boys didn't care for the curries. Also, if you want hot sauce, make sure to double check they gave some to you. REVIEW #3528

Walking distance from the hotel in Davis, a friend recommended this place to me and I took him up on it. Walked over and ordered some of my "go to's" such as young coconut juice, tea leaf salad, combination fried rice and a new one for me, curry chicken potato. The place has indoor and outdoor dining options, a nice place with plenty of room. It's located in an area that has many options, but this is one you definitely have to try. The staff is very friendly and asked if I needed any help navigating the menu. I like the fact you can see the kitchen too so I can spy on the cooks lol. They did an excellent job all around. The food came out and the salad was awesome! I'm a little jaded when it comes to Burmese food having a Burmese friend that owns a restaurant in the Bay Area and having frequented Burma Superstar in Alameda CA (another must if you're in that area). The drink is a tender coconut with the juice and a spoon to dig out the "meat" of the young coconut. I love this and get it wherever it's available. The main course of the curry chicken potato and combo rice came out and it was good too. The curry is mild but still has very good flavor. The combo rice is also good and chock full of goodies like various meats and shrimp. All in all, a really good place to eat and enjoy the food. Ambiance is nice and depending on the weather, inside or outside seating for your pleasure.

I am always in search of a good tea leaf salad esp being so far from the city, we've had B.S.S. and Y. - so there will always be comparisons. My Burma in Davis, I will say is pretty tasty and we truly enjoyed our meal! Their tea leaf salad was very appetizing and all our other dishes were comparably delicious: Platha & Vegetable Curry Dip Samusas, Pumpkin Chicken Stew, Garlic Noodles w/ Tofu, Eggplant with Garlic Sauce...alllll great choices. Heather, who assisted our table was very attentive and efficient, always checking on drink refills and how everything tasted. A really enjoyable dinner and in a beautiful spaced plaza. The restaurant has a modern feel w/ "a hpay" and "ulayy" over the hot wok fixing our meals. "kyaayyjuutainparsai" My Burma!

We came on a busy grad weekend, but the wait wasn't bad at all. Only about 20-25 minutes wait. We got in about 30 mins before they closed. I don't remember everything that we ordered but I'd give everything an all around 8/10. There was some dishes like the chili beef which was a bit too salty to eat by itself. I feel like that dish should've came with rice. The papaya salad wasn't spicy and it was more so just to help cut the oil, not bad but not amazing. The pad Thai dish that we tried was pretty good, it had an interesting flavor of nuts, sweet and chili sauce that made it unique and enjoyable. We also got string beans which seemed like it had the same sauce as the chili beef, still good though. The server was really nice and gave recommendations based on their own taste. Atmosphere was nice, I loved the dim lighting.
